Title: Improve dpkg error handling: Offer interactive fix option instead of
manual command
Description:
Currently, when package management issues occur, dpkg displays an error message
instructing users to run:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
H
However, you might point to them and they might point to you.
I hope it gets resolved.
I'm referring to two teams pointing at each other for the other to fix
it.

The problem is, if you want a partition to be auto-mounted, you either must
edit the fstab or THE INSTRUCTIONS are to turn off the "default" mounting in
gnome disk utility and it will auto-mount. However, the auto-mounting is done
as system root and I don't have access to it. So I must google
I think that there should also be checkboxes and options to help one
fill in the options line. Gui to select icon too. There is a reason
for GUI.. and it is not really being used.

root. This threw me for a loop when all of my git repos were not working. I

I read up on this one on the link provided. If Ctrl q is not allocated,
it should be easy to close the current version. Surely you have a linux
build. It is very standard to have ctrl Q not ctrl W

If you do sudo apt upgrade, you will need to install that library file
manually again. It is good to have on-hand. You will also need to
install using sudo dpkg -1 pytho*.deb in order to avoid apt from
refusing to install an older package.

My computer has a realtek ALC255 according to hdaJackRetask but lscipi
command shows only Intel. The windows version has realtek drivers. I

I loaded the 4.9 upstream and 1.15 BIOS from ACER. Bug still exists.. Please
let me know what to do next. My internal microphone has static and I want to
use a headset and then eventually a plug splitter of microphone and headphone.

I am unable to disable the power save to see if this is a problem,
however, supposedly, this powersave will not be activated when the
laptop is plugged in. I loaded the system with this plugged in and ran
audacity (which causes clicking). This did no solve the problem. So I
think it could be a p
I think I know more about the cause of the problem. It is the speaker and
conflict with the graphics.
I did some more research on this issue and even though I ignored the askubuntu
entries on speaker noise, I read it more carefully. It is actually speaker
noise that is causing the problem. It
thunderbird does make noise. It might just be when I am online that it makes
noise. This might also help.
There are some skylake firmware. I wonder if this is simply included in the
latest kernels

Thunderbird stopped making the noise and may have been just the greeter screen.
I think gtk3 is ok because firefox works ok.
Wine still makes the noise if i launch any application under wine.
I am sure (not tested for this version) that adding a compost manager like

I am running Lubuntu 16.04 on legacy. The new release still has problems if I
run certain programs like Wine or Thunderbird.

This is a different 131t it is the c1yf model subset of tye 131t which
has 2 gb of ram and 32gb hard drive. The ubuntu is installed on the SD
(not live version).
Live ubuntu usb disks does this too.

This bug is caused by the bios being in "advanced mode"
Windows needs Advanced mode and installs a driver. The bios says, "you need
this driver or it may not work"
Perhaps this driver should be added to the kernal?
I still think this is a bug, because people will install ubuntu and
think this is
ultimately I think it is a kernal problem.
I suspect this is a CherryView Bug.
This bug has been reported on ubuntu forums and ask ubuntu and no responses.
I will be switching to Lubuntu in a few days unless I hear back from you. I am
technical and willing to help.

I did the update finally and the problem still exists. I can still use my
mouse. (sometimes that helps).
I am actually in a frozen touchpad mode right now. It seems sure to happen. I
am glad I have my mouse.
I plugged and unplugged the mouse and it worked. (this bug happens without a
mous

up.
Sometimes it does not work and reboot is needed.
Note. This is a touch pad model too.
I have no idea on how to find the package at fault for this, so I picked the
mouse applet.
