VirtualBox VM.
Filenames ending with windows CR (CRLF) contains trailing space in name.
Steps to reproduce:

Has there been any resolution to this? Or is one underway? When I go
to the link for the bug link mentioned here (#540373), the last comment

installation of 14.04. I disabled updates at install because I wanted to
test before and after updating ca-certificates. I then only updated ca-
certificates which showed the problem (curl

Well, I dared to upgrade Kubuntu from 12.04 to 12.1 and here's what
happened:
a) The resolution 1920x1080 is still there thanks to the xorg.conf by
intel (dts-dreamer) and can still be selected and set in the display
settings.

intel (dts-dreamer) worked for me.
I don't know if any (other virtualized) hardware is (negatively)
affected by simply using this xorg.conf ...but setting 1920x1080 is now

I can confirm video tearing in Unity 2D (no tearing occurred in Unity
3D). I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit and it happens on 2 different PCs
(both have same version of Ubuntu). Deactivating compositing in metacity
doesn't help.

I have tried installing everything I could find to get audio going on my
laptop. At first, I had sound only from the on-board speakers, but no audio
from the S/PDIF / headphone combo jack output. I tried fixing that with all
kinds of scripts installing various ALSA drive
I received a "Scribus crashes due to Signal #6" while using Scribus
1.3.8 and Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. This happened when I went into the
text editor, clicked on the style of one of the paragraphes, clicked to
edit the styles, selected a paragraph style and said "CLONE". I had to

This problem also occured with a 10.04 release, run from CD. I did not
fully install yet, because the moment my Ubuntu works, I'll wipe 'that
other OS' from my laptop and start afresh with an Ubuntu only laptop.

I have the same bug on Ubuntu 9.04.
I use dual head with two nvidia cards.
The panel won't even start. It starts and crashes, then restarts and so on.
I have to kill it with pkill.
Is there a way to restrict the panel to one specific screen, hiding the other
from it, as a workaround until a fix wi
I also see this problem on Ubuntu 8.10 running with nVidea restricted
drivers. I didn't try killing the compiz processes, but I can confirm
that vino server is not refreshing properly with compiz running.
I, aw well, would be happy to provide any required logs or additional
information.

Yes, the bug is still there.
Especially good to trigger by using the google eyes gadget I linked above.
I have three systems, two with Ubuntu 8.02 and one with 8.10, all with
different graphics cards.
On my main system, the bug in Firefox with highlighting the links has gone, but

Evolution now scrolls somewhat faster, but the scrollbar now severely "lags",
which means it is only updated with approx. 1 fps (so the email view scrolls
but the scrollbar itself stays at the old position for some ms and then pops to
the right place).

Sorry I cannot test the solutions since I switch back since there was to
many bugs in Kubuntu 8.04 kde 4, proberbly becouse of kde 4.0.
But I am happt that there is a solution for the problem. Maybe let dragon
player depends on libxine1-all-plugin if it is the solution
