The issue is not the error message itself. The issue is that ubiquity
thinks that the grub-install dialog was successful when it really was
not, so it keeps going.

which only refers to Ubiquity's behavior when grub-install fails. Please

It would be great if the Ubuntu installation image came with mdadm. If
was unlucky enough to be Internetless while installing Ubuntu, I
wouldn't be able to install to or create a RAID array. I know that
Ubuntu has lessened its restrictions on installation image size, and
since
`sudo ppa-purge ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers` solved it.
