I've a similar problem.
no Error message in Log Report, or error message on screen, simply everything
freeze.
Mouse e keyboard do not work (caplock or numlock doesn't activate the
corresponding LED) and I can't use the terminale during these freeze

I added your boot parameters to "quiet splash " but they don't work...
that is what i have done in /etc/default/grub :
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=legacy"
is it correct?
