It's strange, but without installing anything from the aubergine ppa
respository, on my machine the "symptom" disappeared. Now I can press
any extra key (the multimedia keys, or mail, home etc.) and the mouse
still works correctly, I don't have to reset it. The only thing I did,
was installing the

I have the same problem after upgrading to Maverick beta. I am using an
MS wireless keyboard and mouse. After pluging out and back in the
transceiver, the mouse starts working again.

I don't exactly know what "fixed in bzr" means, but I am staring at the
buttons "check" and "close" with same "C" accelerator key. I use 8.04.2
(64 bit version).

Yes, I think it is. Meanwhile I used aptitude to install the updates,
and now update-manager seems to work.

I upgraded to Ubuntu Feisty Fawn beta on an Acer Aspire 5002WLMi laptop.
Hibernation seemingly works, but on resume Ubuntu reports that hibernation
failed. And the LED, which shows the status of the laptop, starts blinking in
orange
