yes, but this solution force us to use proprietary drivers. There is no

Hi Andy, Hi Jisaac. A pretty strange thing is the most bugs are
regressives. Display worked fine in Karmic, Blutooth worked fine on
Lucid, and microphone was low in lucid, and totally muted in maverick
(need to use the Jisaac's trick to bost it more than 300% to get a
normal Microphone).

Thanks Martin for report It seems final release will have this bug.
Someone @ ubuntu team or kernel dev can buy an Imac ? lol
Also, to trying solve this so important bug, I'm looking to change the graphic
card with a nvidia one. But it seems it's not compatible with Imac27.

It's not really black screen, it's the video output that switch to the mini
display port output. If you plug a second screen on the mini display port, you
can install ubuntu normally using this 2nd screen.
