I think you describe an excellent behaviour.
It handles any taglib failure gracefully and continues to play what it
can without interruption.

If Amarok can't scan/play .ra files will it at least please ignore them
silently.
If Amarok is running and some new .ra files appear in my media directory Amarok
goes mad scanning them and then complains that it can't scan [list of new .ra
files
I can't see what lauchpad has done with the attachment, so I'm adding it

It doesn't crash straight away, I can fill in maybe 3 boxes of
information for an individual and then it crashes
