Extensions turned on (even though each extension itself was off, as in
the picture). Once I toggled that off, the issue resolved itself and now

This is after locking the screen once.
I opened the top right menu after locking the screen, and then opened
the keyboard menu to the left of it. Both stay up, and can no longer be

If you look at the history, you see we care about it and use it.
Unfortunately I have no real time for KMail these days, and for me it
works. Both for POP3 and IMAP accounts, I have no mail duplication with
filters, so it is really hard to do anything without spending a lot of
time on it,

When connecting the Terratec PHASE26 in 16/48 mode (6 channels) I get the error
"Volume element PCM has 6 channels. That's too much! I can't handle that!" and
the card fails to show up in Sound Settings.
Everything is fine with 24/48 mode (2 channels).
** Affects: pulseaud
BTW not only Gnome Settings but also `pactl list` has the same info.
The right names are there too, however.

Based on how other cards are named (see previous attachment "Firewire sound
card listed in Sound Settings") there sould be a short description of the
output, followed by the short name of the card. For example:

I am testing the new snd-firewire ALSA module which is currently getting
accepted into the kernel.
I have noticed that while ALSA recognizes the correct name for the card,
PulseAudio displays another, wrong name, which is apparently the name of the
FireWire controller throu
Same problem here with Intel D54250WYK NUC box + Audiolab M-DAC which
uses async USB connection for 24/96 audio.
It seems that the problem only occurs with Intel USB3 controllers.
Unfortunately the internal USB2.0 headers in my NUC are controlled by the same
USB3.0 controller, and there is no opt
Inspired by Nick's tip I've renamed ~/.config/transmission/settings.json
and ~/.config/transmission/dht.dat but kept resume and torrents folders
intact. The error is gone.

There is a newer version of the plugin at

The ganeti package (as of 2.10.5-1~trusty+1) recommends qemu-kvm, xen-
linux-system-amd64 or xen-linux-system-686-pae on 14.04. Since the Xen
meta-package has been renamed to xen-system-amd64 (no i386 version any
more), this results in qemu-kvm being installed even on Xen-base
It turns out the phone didn't have MTP enabled. To turn it on:
Settings -> Storage -> options ->USB computer connection -> Media device
(MTP)
Now it automounts nicely.
