Basically the problem was that during installation I have had my external
proyector attached to the vga out, it was turned off but plugged in, and the
video card and/or grub gets confused and does the boot for the external
monitor, even if it is turned off, and then starts the norm

would please give it a read, and tell me if you think we are into the
same problem. Can you see the BIOS Splash screen, or is only the grub
