I searched my browser history to find where some recent shield icon work
was being done, and it was this component. I considered Site Identity
too, but I don't know which is more appropriate. Let's move it to site
identity if you object so much then.

Duplicate file entries after double-clicking path button in file dialog
I have analyzed and solved the problem I was seeing.
Let's look at gtk+2.0-2.12.9/gtk/gtkfilesystemmodel.c.
In the callback function got_root_folder_cb, there is this code:
if (gtk_file_folder_is_finished_loading (model->root_folder))
g_signal_emit (model, file_system_model_sign
I created a new user, but it has the same problem.
Also, it doesn't just happen if I double click the buttons. If I get
focus on one and press Enter twice within about 2 seconds, the same
thing happens.

It's the GTK file chooser isn't it?
I don't have a clean installation to test on, but try this:
1. Open a GTK 'Open file' dialog.
2. Enable the location field (button in top-left of dialog, or Ctrl+L).
3. Double click one of the path component buttons.

Duplicate file entries after double-clic
This always happens for me when I have the 'Location' entry box on.
It never happens when I have it off.
In Diaa Sami's screenshot I also see that it is on.
Can anyone confirm this behaviour?

Public bug reported:
After double clicking one of the directory buttons (in the bar of buttons at
the top of the file chooser window), all files except one in that directory are
shown twice in the file list. See attached screenshot, where I first navigated
to ~/.azureus, and then double clicked
Since Mika seems to be gone for a bit, meanwhile you can work around the bugs
by putting this at the start of the broken functions:
local glob=`shopt -p failglob`; shopt -u failglob
And this before every return and at the end:
eval $glob
(Maybe you've done something similar already. :)

Jim, chills42,
It shouldn't complete to tgz at all, so I think you don't have programmable
complete enabled.
Try running this line before testing:

And it shouldn't complete without the space, I think. It would be
expecting more options instead of a filename.
