Eli's last fdi fixed it for me. However the calibration points are quite
different on mine. They shouldn't be in this file, as this overrides the
calibration generated by the GUI tool. I commented mine out and have not
had problems since.

I experienced this with the exact same version. I'm guessing the post-
install is missing a call to update-python-modules. You can work around
this by executing:
sudo update-python-modules -f -b
after you have installed the package
