Here is a program to invert a PBM file, as a workaround to subject bug.
Compilation:
gcc -o pbminvert pbminvert.c
Execution:
cat file_to_be_inverted.pbm | ./pbminvert > inverted_file.pbm

- Open the attached file test.gif in the GIMP :
- Save it as test.pbm, choosing raw data formatting.
- Close the image window
- Open the previously saved file test.pbm
- The image is inverted

Today 1st of October 2007, gparted has been updated to version 0.3.3-2ubuntu6,
but the bug is still there, testing with wapoff/swapon on the Linux swap device.
The terminal output is (on my French machine) is :

With an uptodate Gutsy (as of 2çth of September), ekiga (2.0.9-0ubuntu3)
crashes at startup :
ekiga: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libopal.so.2.2: undefined symbol:

I "completely" uninstalled, then reinstalled ekiga and libopal-2.2.0 : same
behavior.
It looks like libopal-2.
The crash is still there with version 1.0.3-6ubuntu1 as of 30th of September
2007.
It looks like one has to drop down active connections AND refresh event list
for the bug to occur.

I confirm the same behaviour on my Thinkpad T61 with Gutsy uptodate as of 20th
of September 2007.
gparted crashes after successfully performing any work : "Applying all
operations" (partition resizing/moving, deleting, formatting), swap on, swap
off, and may be others.
