same problem is there after an unexpected shutdown. Rebooting about 5-6

I get the exact same error-message on jaunty using virt-manager.
When using the wizard for creating a virtual machine, this error message
appears after trying to make a disk image with the default settings. It
appears to be an issue with permissions. After selecting a location in

I have the exact same problem here and would love to see it fixed.
Currently running intrepid. It appears that this package is removed from
ubuntu since 8.10. According to packages.ubuntu.com the package existed
before on the previous releases (dapper till hardy).

Guess this bug has been solved. Also, for CR2 files the use of gnome-
raw-thumbnailer is not neccessary anymore.

I just upgraded to the latest Intrepid. This issue remains. I think I
will be trying to install Windows XP again on this computer, just to
check whether this problem is OS-specific or rather a hardware-issue.

Installing using the Alternate CD (Intrepid Alpha 5) is working
correctly here. However, I cannot boot into the freshly installed system
after that. It ends up in Busybox again.
I tried to boot into Intrepid using the 'recovery' mode. This has pretty
much the same result, but gives a lot more info
The same thing happens with my Acer 5050.
I just tried the Alpha 5 live-cd and get the exact same problem.

Yes.. i figured that this wasn't a generic bug.. Else it would have been

behaviour.. Apparently, with VLC it only happens when it is switched to

In Nautilus the 'file type' show 'Digital raw image' at first. As soon
as a file gets selected however, it changes to 'TIFF image'. See also
attached screenshot of Nautilus after I selected a .CR2 file.

That looks like it is exactly the same problem. I re-enabled usplash,
changed /etc/usplash.conf to 1280x800 and ran 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure
usplash'. Everything is working like a charm now.

When adjusting the clock one hour forward.. i found it odd that the
screensaver immediately kicked in when clicking ok. When it happened a
second time i realised that the screensaver must be using the system-
time to determine idle-time.
