I also have problems with this card in Kubuntu 10.10. When deskop
effects are turned on X crashes randomly. But sometimes when kWin
effects are disabled I get graphical glitches especially using Firefox.
Also tried using X-updates and xorg-edgers. The same problems and
crashes. Open driver is poor
I tried this variable but after it KDE was slower than normally.
Additionally, often fonts in various applications were rendered
incorrectly. I also got some graphical glitches here and there on the
screen. :(

Sorry but I'm "a bit" frustrated. Since Lucid I'm experiencing 100% cpu usage.
Can't normally work on my system. Before Lucid it was OK. So apparently it's

After a clean install of Kubuntu 10.04 I used to experience random crashes of
KDE - KDE would return to login screen.
Thanks to benkay86 dude from kubuntu IRC channel it turned out the 8139 kernel
driver was guilty
Can anyone help me?
