Tried to upgrade CUPS to latest version but it stopped working.
On reinstallation using these commands:
sudo apt purge cups cups-client cups-bsd
sudo apt purge hplip hpijs printer-driver-gutenprint
Could not install '/var/cache/apt/archives/cups-
client_2.1.3-4ubuntu0.4_amd
Occurred whilst trying to reinstall CUPS using these commands:
sudo apt purge cups cups-client cups-bsd
sudo apt purge hplip hpijs printer-driver-gutenprint

Removing and reinstalling a faulty Emacs 24.5.1 caused this problem. I
was unable to remove Emacs using Synaptic so went through folders
manually. Compiled and installed Emacs from source myself, as it would
not install via Synaptic or apt-get.

When I had this problem in in Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron), the following
worked for me:
1. Go to .local/share/Trash/files in your ´home´ directory, for example on the
command line:
cd .local/share/Trash/files
2. Type in: sudo rm -r name_of_folder
Maybe it is best to check folder and file per
