No, it doesn't.
The kernel was updated to 4.13.0-32-generic, and this still has the bug, I
believe the 4.13.0-21 might have it also.

This bug still not fixed, adding a core dump and this might have
relations to bug #1743732 because if you turn the monitor off or lock
the screen, everything in that session are lost. Daniel van Vugt asked
to move that bug to private.
Core was generated by `/usr/bin/Xwayland :0 -rootless -terminat
None os this kernels has the bug.

I also had a problem with a Gigabyte motherboard model GA-990FXA-UD5 R5,
disabling the IOMMU solve the problem but it disables some USB ports.
I've solved this by adding "iommu=pt" at /etc/default/grub, find the line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
and add:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="
