Arrived in the console after a reboot, and by using startx landed in Gnome.
So it has nothing to do with this bug.
Like you said it has to do with a bug in udev.

d DRI.
So after the pc boots up I get KDM just like it should be, so this part is
fixed now.
But 3D is still not enabled with this card.

This time I had to chose the console and KDE started up fine.
In the past I had also put the AGPmode option in this file, but when I tried
this I landed in a black screen.
In Jaunty the xorg.conf file was empty, and 3D with compiz worked just fine.
