I am using TB 3.1.10 with a German Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit. This mis-match
between header and message body occurs on my system, as well. I started
noticing it after installing the "BetterConversation" add-on and blamed
it for the errors. However, I still get this behavior after uninstalling
the add-on.

Alberto, please clarify comment #24! My clean installation of Natty 64
bit does not exhibit obvious problems such as those posted by some of
the others but the output of glxgears still looks strange and hardly
moving (despite some 7000 fps reported).

That last suggestions sounds very reasonable to me! But, luckily my
laptop now works with tilda and transparency (64 bit Lucid) without
workarounds. Have to test it with my other box, though. Will report
back.

I hope I am not confusing things here ... My lucid 32 bit system (up to
date) suffered from the same problem. I'm creating presentations for my
lectures so it's a bit silly not being able to use a true fullscreen
presentation mode.
Now, I decided to remove the Ubuntu version of OO3.2 and installed

If I delete a file via GUI in krusader it won't disappear from view,
even after refresh via Ctrl+r. Opening a console via F2 confirms that
the file was indeed deleted. I have to change into the parent folder of
the folder in question and back to get a view without the deleted file.

I have to correct myself:
It's a BenQ DW1650, the Plextor's real name is PX-W2410TA.
It seems to me as if my box was affected by both Bug #182996 and this
one here, because the Plextor drive is now working. To summarize my
findings:
Plextor alone either as SLave or MAster: ok.
BenQ alone as MA:
Same problem for me with a BENQ DW-1620/Plextor 24/10/40A. I was not
able to install a clean 8.04 with the standard live cd (32 bit). the
text-based installer worked, with some funny messages concerning the
drive. now 8.04 is up and running, albeit with the following glitches:

I want to apologize for my post, as this problem is only valid on my
laptop, where I am experiencing Bug #217685 (seems to be an issue with
the keyboard of my laptop). My workstation accepts Ctrl+Alt+Del after a
single click in the vnc window, so logging on to a locked M$ box is no
problem at all.
It might be superfluous to post another one of these comments, so feel
free to beat me ;)! I ask for such a fundamental feature as well, as I
am currently unable to connect to my M$ machines via Vinagre. Thanks in
advance!

Ctrl + Shift + O for T-Bird
they won't work. Neither does Ctrl + Alt + L lock the screen. The
combination Ctrl + Alt + T to open a terminal does work though, as well

Although there's no announcment about Alpha 5 yet, this morning the
update manager asked me whether I wanted to upgrade or not. Is there a
way to which version actually is on my laptop now? By the way, the
flickering doesn't want to go away. Intel driver is still version
