This is happening to me too, Firefox's driving me crazy, while browsing
youtube it crashes whenever I change the video, and gnash sucks at
fullscreen so I have to use flashplugin-nonfree... any solution ??

@Michael, The TI cards are now supported using the Tifm21 drivers ( on
berlios if you want to check it out) anyway This driver has been
included in the kernel, make sure you have a new kernel!!!
On my 2.6.24 kernel it is working very nice...
