downloaded the source to gnome-settings-daemon but do not see acme.h:

I too had this blank screen issue for my encrypted LVM setup. I found
out that grub was installed on my usb installation drive instead of my
hard disk. After re-installing grub onto my disk, I no longer get the

Reeses's solution (compiling xpdf from source) and the segmentation
fault went away. However, on a few of the pdf files that I view, I get
the error "Bogus memory allocation size". I had to resort to evince or
adobe reader t
I just upgraded to Natty, and I got this error. The method of @Jim Rees
worked for me. Uninstalled xpdf and compiled from source. Thanks!

I'm having the same issue on Ubuntu 10.04 on a Toshiba Portege R705. It
happens when I transfer data through the network (eg, backing up my
computer), while I'm surfing the net, and while it is idle. It occurs
quite frequently actually, a few times a day. It happens during data
transfer for sure
Anthony, do you happen to use Onboard keyboard? I noticed that since i
stopped having this launch at startup, I dont recall having this issue
(may be pre-mature).

I'm on Ubuntu netbook remix 10.04 on an Asus T101MT and I have the same
issue. Gnome-terminal is most notable. I believe I saw it happening in
Nautilus as well. Is there a solution to this? Has this bug been moved
elsewhere?
