GIMP has been stable on this machine for a few years so somewhat

command. On the first attempted execution (click) the program crashed.
The image read into memory was a PNG, with 32 bit float precision, HD
This was an attempt at a rollback from Xubuntu 20.04 (alpha) to 19.10,
without reformatting the root partition first. Not surprisingly, it
ended badly.
