Same problem here. Hard Freeze, have to reset.
Can't find any warnings in the system logs though.

Hi,
That patch is against the Squeak-3.9-8 UNIX VM sources. If you are keen,
try and build the VM from scratch. It is quite easy assuming you
already know how to build stuff.
