Hmmm, no... I can't test under Intrepid, but I was able to play without
any hiccups by disabling music and sound effects, so it looks (or
sounds? ;) ) like a sound issue.
I started the program from a terminal, disabled sound and music, and
this is the output I got on the terminal screen:

I want to confirm that both versions of supertuxkart, 0.4 and 0.5,
freeze the box after a short while of playing under Hardy.
