[Bug 446919] Re: Mouse stalls, does not respond to click, keyboard does not respond to some keys

Ok I came to conclusion that this is hardware problem. My touchpad dies from time to time on my laptop and during those times it acts up for 2-3 months and then randomly fixes it self (the hardware). I have done further investigation but I bet it has to do with drivers being confused by the bad har

Box is a too generic word that means almost anything and new users might have trouble understanding the concept of "Box this items..." or "Box files and folders". I have a simpler idea: 1. If the user Clicks on the calendar it should mimic the current behavior (as in stay open until clicked again). 2. If the user hovers-over the calendar it should mimic the debated behavior (as in stay open unless hover-out/click out) Face it when you click on the calend

@Stuart: Changing the name of the application is pointless and rather silly. Most other archive managers have different names [WinZip, WinRaR, 7Zip]. Changing the menu entry to as I have proposed earlier might seem more appropriate (I don't think user will care the name of the application or tha

I can confirm this. I use compiz all the time and oddly enough this happens only once in a while. Also I get the correct dialog. (Is it possible that focus prevention prohibits it from displaying properly?) -- "Shut Down" dialog doesn't open in the foreground https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/27940

I agree with Franck. A tar file is an *archive* but its not a compress file. So by renaming all Create Archive (the fits all scenario) to compress files will cause confusion on how to create tar files. Perhaps a joined venture such as "Compress/Archive" will be much appropriate in the gnome men
