If I put the smartphone in PTP mode, it get recognized as a camera.
But if I put the it in either MTP or charge mode, I always get the two options
for both MTP and PTP.
In charge node, obviously, no file trasnfer can take place and "kio" helper
simply fails.

Just killing and restarting kwin_x11 is enough for me.

2. The problem seems to be tied to the notifications (but I cannot be sure)

selection" widget.
I canno switch between windows with ALT+TAB, I cannot iconize or resize windows
(no window widgets and handles).
If I am lucky I can use the "K" button to logout e log back in.

You can close this bug as it's my ISP fault.
They are forcing their own DNSes which recolve anything unresolveable as that
IP.
If I change my NM connection and force other DNSes than theirs, then everything
works fine.
