I had the same problem, but I was able to install 64-bit Ubuntu Studio
13.10 from DVD to (PNY 120GB) SSD after I removed my secondary HDD
(Samsung Spinpoint F1 640GB) power+SATA cables. After installation I put
the cables back and now the system works with both drives connected to
PC.

This happened to me as well, however I do not have Opera installed to my
computer instead I have Firefox and Chromium. Attached is a screenshot
of Nautilus immediately after this issue occurred.
