2 problems :
- Minor : First the install wizard allows you to use the JFS file-system but at
format time it fails (because jfsutils is not provided on the livecd).
- Major : When you reboot your fresh install with JFS as root file-
system and you forgot to install jfsutils
I completely agree with you Samus Aran. Running old software on linux is
a pain. There is no binary compatibility, there is a theorical source
compatibility, but it never compile easily. Because a lot of linux geeks
forget about the fact that old software can be GOOD software ! Compare
it with wind

I wrote a patch witch add the ability to build the shoutcast plugin with
their new XML api (yp.shoutcast.com). We can easily fallback to the old
classic.shoutcast.com parser by adding --enable-classic-shoutcast at
./configure parameters.

yes I did. I customized my box because there are a lot of components
(installed by the metapackage ubuntu-desktop) I never use. Anyway I was
able to remove libgnomevfs2-extra with gnome-applets still installed.
However, this seems not to be good and libgnomevfs2-extra should be a
needed package for
