I believe I have upgraded past the version as well. When I run the
reinstall I got a 404. After an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade, the
reinstall worked without issue.

any issues.
The guys on the linux-wireless team were really good to work with. I
suggest opening your own bug on launchpad and then follow the directions

Upstream has provided me a patch. It it only for the 3.11 kernel as
there have been significant changes between 3.8 and 3.11 to the rtlwifi
drivers. I wasn't given a timeline as to when the patch would be
committed. There was also provided updated firmware.

The built in rtl8192cu driver has never worked for me. I only got the
device 4-5 months ago and at first I couldn't even connect I believe
that issue was related to LP#852190

v3.7 final works just fine as well as 3.7.6, which I am currently running.
v3.8-rc1 doesn't work, nor does anything since (I have checked the last 2
night's daily build)
I noticed sp5100_tco fails to load in 3.7, but does load on 3.8-rc1. I
am not sure if it is related in any manner, it just caug

Issue was apparently with my BIOS ( ASUS M3A78-CM). I updated to the
latest version and the issue has disappeared. Not sure why it only
occurred with Natty. Anyways, marking the bug as invalid as it doesn't
appear to be an issue with the kernel

On a reboot or first boot after using Natty I get a blank screen. No
Bios screen, No grub. After a hard poweroff/reset the PC boots normally,
though if I boot into Maverick the GDM splash screen has the panel at
the top and the background is solid purple (no background image)

I installed the latest kernel (2.6.32-999) [1] along with the latest Xorg stuff
from the XOrger's PPA [2] and the 1152x864 option is now listed. I did try
just the updates from the XOrgers PPA with the current kernel in karmic
(2.6.31-16), but that didn't fix it. I haven't rolled back the XOr
I am still having issues, more severe issues. PC locks before login
screen. I can't even SSH in to get a batch bufferdump. I upgraded from
Jaunty to karmic alpha 6. I am going to try a fresh install next.
