I can confirm this, also using a Li1718. Note I had not added
acerhk.conf (as above). This is a vanilla Jaunty install. The laptop
did not resume so I had to hold the power-button down to force poweroff.

I've just tried the Ubuntu 9.04 beta live CD on my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo
Li1718, which has (I belive) the Atheros AR5007EG chipset. No wireless
networks were detected, so I'm guessing that means this is not working
out of the box. I haven't tried the patches yet because I'm not near a
wired connec
