When I restart the whole system 2 or 3 times I get the normal condition
back and the performance and cpu issue is gone.
I tried lsmod and modprobe in both situations (performance is horribly
bad as I am wirting...)
both results in
tho...@thomas-desktop:~$ lsmod | grep drm
drm 1

I use Kubuntu Karmic and for me it's definately not fixed. My university
uses a WEP protected nework and I'm unable to connect. WPA2 works
without problems.
