I doubt it makes a lot of difference, but just to be thorough, try putting the ec_intr=0 before "ro splash". That's what is working for me. You also might want to consider moving to 64-bit, as this fix is definitely working with it, and S1 suspend works in 64-bit as well. -- Under Gutsy on Syst
