After the installation and some usage of this driver, I can confirm that
this release (5.5.2.1-0ubuntu4~20.04.2) of the package has fixed the
bug. I can now see the missing WLANs.
The following successful tests have been made:
- Connecting and disconnecting from the WLAN
- Browsing the Internet

Apparently, a fix has been found to this bug on the repository
tomaspinho/rtl8821ce.
