Installed proposed system-config-printer-gnome package (...19.2) and the
system installed the proper driver for the detected printer instead of
the first in the list.

Binary package hint: system-config-printer
System correctly finds the printer and sets up a driver for an HP910.
The printer is an HP Laserjet 5P. Editing the resulting setup and
selecting the proper printer driver (the recommended foomatic driver for
the HP5P) works fine.
