Limiting the link speed to 100 Mbps seems to solve the "link up" messages in my kernel log. So far no kernel panic with a big NFS file copy, but I'm only getting 2.4 MiB/s transfer speed. Still, this is about the same or a little bit better than as I was getting before limiting the link speed. On
