Packages need to depend on the tools they unconditionally use. Packages
do not generally make allowances for locally installed software as that
is up to the local admin to sort out. The `equivs` package makes doing
so quite easy, but remember that when you do this and it breaks, you get
to keep bot
moz2po and po2moz require the correct filenames to operate. In
particular, the filename must include an indication of the origin of the
data (so, foo.dtd.po not foo.po). From the documentation:

It would be shortsighted to do this only for grep.
A better approach would be to set PROMPT_COMMAND for the shell in
/etc/bash.bashrc to an appropriate shell function. The last command
executed is available as `history 1` in that handler:

Sounds like a bug that was fixed in 0.8.2.

Looking at the ps file created by dvips, it seems that in the case of
the previous version of texlive (2007), dvips includes only one font:
$ grep FontDir hello2007.ps
FontDirectory/CMR10 known{/CMR10 findfont dup/UniqueID known{dup
while dvips from texlive 2009 includes two copies:
$ grep Font
Given that the cmr10 font used in your example is embedded within the
EPS file, it would appear that you need to convince latex to make use of
these fonts. Including a simple .tex file that illustrates this problem
would be helpful.
