Confirmed this bug, but with a weird qualification:
With a default install of Xubuntu 12.04 I ran into this problem
consistently (i.e. I never saw either applet populate data), regardless
of wired/wireless connectivity, and across many system restarts and
docky restarts.

I've been having some interestingly weird intermittent docky crashes
since installing xubuntu 12.04, so I've been running it with ulimit -c
unlimited lately.
Stack trace looks the same with the mono debugging symbols. If there are
some other symbols I should be installing to get more detail let me
I'll chime in to say that I'm getting this error (or at least one
indistiguishable from it from the symptoms and /var/log/jockey.log) on a
clean 12.04 install. kernel is 32-bit PAE.
Installing the "updates" packages with apt worked, though jockey is none
the wiser that any driver is in use.
