CD:s and DVD:s do not auto mount when inserted into the drive. This
worked in 8.10 but stopped working in 9.04. They will however appear as
mounted if the computer is rebooted.

Problem solved! (kind of)
Changing paper size in OpenOffice, through printer configuration or
through the web interface does NOT work. However, manually editing
/etc/papersize to replace "letter" with "A4" solves the problem!

While the printer will not install automatically, it can be installed using the
procedure below:

Correction, while the above procedure will install the printer, it
doesn't print correctly. Text is not positioned correctly on the pages!

I have no idea if this is related to other similar problems. Regardless,

I've changed most settings since I got the USB speakers so I can't be
sure what they were set too originally. If I recall correctly,
originally only movie player and rythmbox would work while VLC, amarok
and flash video through firefox wouldn't.

The printer seems to install fine. I can find it under administration ->
printing. When I send a print job to it I get the printer symbol in the
upper right corner telling me it's "processing", but nothing happens.

Same problem here. I'm trying to use brasero to burn a dvd but it
doesn't seem to detect that a dvd has been inserted. A blank DVD is in
the drive but I still get: "there is no available medium. Please insert
one".
