Ok, I tried the latest Ubuntu Mate ISO from oct 02/2015
Same problem in live mode... tweaked some settings (rgb, vrgb, etc... ) VRGB is
better but not perfect at all...
Installed to SSD and boot, fonts still messed, installed Intel microde,
rebooted and problem persisted. Another reboot,
