I have the same problem. Gparted freez on "Scanning all devices..." if floppy module is loaded. This modules is loaded on bootup, even if I do not have any floppy device pluged. (tested on the liveCD and on a fresh edgy install) If I unload floppy module before launching gparted (sudo modprobe -
