I managed to install Ubuntu Feisty Fawn Beta on a Sun Blade 100. It has
an UltraSparc IIe CPU (a 64 bit machine), 256 RAM and an on-board Ati
Rage XL.
The base system is running fine, but Xorg does not function:

I played a bit around. Openoffice, gnome-terminal and obviously Firefox
are fine with long arabian texts.
But Eclipse used up all my cpu time for several seconds, just for
scrolling the text. Finally my whole system hang. Only a hard reset
helped.
Did i mention that the text i pasted into the app
Well, it seems to me that every long text is sufficient.
For example, take the wikipedia article about ubuntu:

Copy it, then go to Google and translate it to arabic:

Then copy the translated te

I translated text with Google to arab and copy and pasted it to gedit. I
scrolled the text and a few seconds later the X-Server crashed,
restarted and took me to the login screen.
I did it a second time, same result.
Chinese Text seems to be ok...
I'm using Dapper Drake.
