I upgraded from 12.04, the distribution had NOT been updated in 219 days
because it was loaded as beta, and as part of troubleshooting on a
laptop that was in the process of hardware failure... once updated, and
on 12.10, after a few days of tweaking, I decided to go ahead and set it

I just disabled the proprietary driver, and it seems to work, suggest
that Compiz could be part of the issue... I enabled the proprietary
driver, and as long as the appearance settings are set to "Visual
effects = none" then it will refresh... as soon as Compiz is involved on
the remote desktop, th
I am having the same issue, and yes, I am running Compiz on both
computers... one intel 64 bit, with pseudo Nvidia "Sparkle 9600 1GB RAM"

I think that the problem i had on this was actually that I did not have
MySQL installed and set up PRIOR to torrentflux installation...
