MacBookAir3,1 has pulsing pixelated vertical line down right side of
screen after suspend/resume

I hit this issue multiple times trying to install 11-Sep quantal-
desktop-amd64.iso on a MacBookAir3,1. I tried to run "ubuntu-bug
ubiquity" multiple times and attach to this bug but my logs never
successfully attached to this bug.

When running sudo it executes properly the first time during a session
but, after credentials are cached, further attempts result in an error:

in the Synchronization tab in Tomboy Preferences.
