It's YEARS later now.. IPv6 is commonly used now too..
And still no simple records ??
if you can't get IPv6 to work, then at least create a lame :fff:: hybrid
record.. ok it's lame, but then AT LEAST it resolvs to IPv4..
Come on, this is fucking ridiculous..

for now I suggest updating your /etc/apt/sources.list with the
following:
sed -i 's/security.ubuntu.com/ftp.belnet.be\/mirror\/ubuntu.com/g'
/etc/apt/sources.list
Just my 2 cents for IPv6 :)
