Right after logging in. Notebook is upgraded from ubuntu-gnome 17.04 to
ubuntu 17.10, Gnome X session. Nothing special - usb flash drive is
attached, and a usb transmitter for a trackball.

case here) then evince should try to be "smart about it" when no object
