Recently installed Xubuntu 10.10 on Latitude d505 and I have two
probelms: the Adobe Flashplayer sounds glitchy and the wireless
connection fails for lack of the proper firmware.Have already tried the
on-board alternative drivers. I'm thinking that the Latitude d505 may be

I also have a gigabyte board (AM2+ 6 quad series) and an amd phenom (IV)

affected. It is sufficiently distracting to render vlc unusable for listening.
Seems to be release specific as the same program, on the same machine ran fine
under 9.04. Reinstalling vlc does not solve the problem.
