I have now uppgraded to feisty and the problem is solved (the fi-
ligature is shown correctly)! (Evince 0.8.0 with poppler 0.5.4) I guess

I have tried it with OOo 2.2.0 in Feisty and the behaviour is that one

gedit crashes. If I restart it the line numbers are active. It crashes
again if I remove the line numbers and select them again.

I installed Feisty amd64 with herd2 alternate CD on an athlon64 X2 with
M2NPV-VM mother board. The installation gives me the "vesa" driver for
X. It should be "nv" as there is an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 on the mother
board.

I retested in Dapper.
When logging out the problem is gone.
If I shut down the screen switches to LCD during the shutdown procedure.
If I switch to CRT again the screen switches back to LCD when booting
again. I guess that the last issue is in order, but shouldn't the
shutdown be on the CRT scree

The message on the xubuntu download page
(http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/dapper/release/) says that
only 128 MB is needed for the desktop install. As xubuntu should be
lightweight it should not require 192 MB to install (and in my opinion
not even 128 MB).
