Under Kubuntu 18.04.2 LTS, the import tool leaves remnants of the

in real-time when moving the mouse to adjust the size of the selection
rectangle, as if the old-sized rectangle is not always erased before

After I upgraded to Ubuntu 14.04.5, which has a new version of
ImageMagick, I no longer see the problem. Not changing bug status since
I'm not sure that's the right thing to do when the bug was reported
against an older (but still supported) distribution which may still have
the bug.

As a workaround, installing the libreoffice-style-galaxy package seems
to do the trick.. Perhaps the icons you get this way are not in the
intended style, but they convey the intended meaning and makes the help
system look less broken.

I've seen this bug a lot in the past month with a fully updated 12.04.4,
although I mostly saw it triggered by another application in the
LibreOffice suite (calc). It got progressively worse and was really bad
yesterday, causing several crashes within an hour. Some workarounds I

I have seen this problem three times now with Ubuntu 11.04, and the
uptime was 24 days plus an unknown number of hours each time. The last
time it happened, I was actually at the computer at the time, and the
uptime was 24 days, 21 hours, and 5 minutes when I noticed the messed-up

partitions or disks - I'm just
The above output was from "debconf-show grub-pc" run directly from the
live CD. I now realize that I should probably have mounted the relevant
hard disk partition (/dev/sda6) and chrooted to it first. Then, the
output is:
grub2/kfreebsd_cmdline:
grub2/device_map_regenerated:
* grub2/linux_cm
grub2/kfreebsd_cmdline:
grub2/device_map_regenerated:
grub2/linux_cmdline:
grub-pc/install_devices_failed: false
grub-pc/chainload_from_menu.lst: true
grub-pc/kopt_extracted: false
grub-pc/postrm_purge_boot_grub: false
grub-pc/disk_description:
grub2/kfreebsd_cmdline_default: quiet
I see the same thing as the original bug reporter, upgrading from 10.10
to 11.04. Will attach output of "debconf-show grub-pc" in a moment.
