Upgrading to 4.7.2 didn't fix the issue for me.
A lot of "painter not active" messages come up when launching from Terminal,

Hi jms,
With the exception of the comments on otheros.bld, it's worth reporting
these issues as separate bug reports so they can get the love that they
need. This bug is mainly focused on getting the LiveCD to work.

It doesn't actually fix the reason for the messages showing up in the

Hi,
Sorry to be taking so long with getting back to you. Work has left me
with very little free time or energy recently.
To confirm. Mandriva's kernel version shows as 2.6.17-13mdv in uname.
I did some digging, with surprising results:

Hello Phillip,
Thank you for your lengthy reply. It's nice to see this bug is being
taken seriously, despite my amateurish attempts at reporting it.
Attached is the full dmesg report, as requested.
I cannot confirm right now that it only happens on the second card. I'll

It does, however crash a lot more frequently with one specific contact

Maybe. I think a suggestion would be good, as long as it doesn't

I think a much better soultion would be for a more standardised approach
to the whole thing. Instead of caring if Konqueror, Firefox,
Hi,
This is a fairly standard Ubuntu installation, so no Konqueror.
Installing Konqeuror seems to fix the issue. But this is not an ideal
solution (then again, this isn't exactly a critical bug), and I still

Can anyone confirm that this does not help us?
