Can I reiterate the importance of this? Most people use thunderbird. I'm
sure some people use evolution, but I don't know anyone who prefers it.

It does happen with the 1.9 ruby package in Karmic. It doesn't happen
when I build from source (apt-get source ruby1.9.1 && apt-get build-dep
ruby1.9.1). But it's hard to tell because I likely have all kinds of

for rhythmbox, until I found this gem, which explains everything. They
only work if it is minimalized to a tray.

It took me a while to figure out why I didn't see any notifications by default.
My right monitor is smaller and has a lesser resolution, so the top-right of
the combined viewport isn't visible. Hence, I saw no notificatio

The james-snijder packages work on my jaunty-64 box using the gstreamer output.
Some video's don't play (they halt miro until I do killall pulseaudio), but
those video's do the exact same thing when played with totem. So it's just the
normal pulseaudio nightmare that Jaunty is turning into.

released with intrepid to burn an audio-cd. Adding mp3 files takes

I am running intrepid, but i am no longer running these scripts.
Although I do suspect these scripts still increase the launch speed, it's the
wrong type of solution.
Likely the XML parser should either be optimized, or these programs shouldn't
use huge XML files as a sort of a poor-man's-datab
Please either:
- just remove the package,
- add one of the above attached icons, or use a stock one, and move it to the
administration menu
If somebody thinks the administration menu is too big, let them create a

Alright, i turned off quit mode, killed gnome-do and started it from the

EHm, isn't this a duplicate? Doesn't this happen _whenever_ the
resolution of the game is equal to that of the desktop, if running
compiz?
Current workarounds:
- run games in a different resolution, than your desktop
- do not use compiz
- turn off auto redirect fullscreen applications..

I really do wish that desktop responsiveness gets the same attention in the
future.
Going from a clean install of gutsy to a clean install of hardy felt like going
from win 3.11 to Vista.

You can use compiz's advanced settings tool. That seems to work fine for
me.

You don't have to sync. We can also just _remove_ the package.
Keeping the current package seems like a negative value proposition to
Ubuntu, the Miro Devs and the Ubuntu users. Things that can happen:
