I tried using 0.8 version of network manager from PPA specified in the url
above.
Following are my findings:
1. upon host m/c reboot, ifconfig does not picksup other eth[x] interfaces
manually we need to start using ifconfig or nm-applet
2. while uninstalling:
libnm-glib0 will n
